Located immediately south of the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and wedged in between the Peacock Gap and Bayside Acres neighborhoods is the small residential community of Glenwood. Occupying a part of San Rafael that features plenty of open space and undeveloped land, home owners already living in Glenwood love the area for its calm and tranquil atmosphere, as well as all the fabulous outdoor recreational opportunities that are available nearby, like hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding just to name a few. Unlike in some parts of the San Rafael community, most of the homes you’ll find in Glenwood were developed on flat land right before reach the hilly landscape that helps define so much of Central Marin County. A couple of local schools are also situated near many homes for sale in Glenwood, but most notably Glenwood Elementary, which sits almost right in the middle of the neighborhood. For golf enthusiasts, the Peacock Gap Golf Club is also just a few short minutes away, while McNears Beach and the rest of San Rafael’s bayfront is also something home owners here love having close by. Glenwood is almost entirely comprised of single-family homes with prices usually starting in the upper $900,000s and going up from there.
